Q: What browsers/OS can I use with the Live Cam sites?

A: The oldest browsers that the Live Cam sites will work with are Internet Explorer 5.5 and Netscape 4.7x, (Netscape 6.x most likely will not work) but understand this a base starting point and future development will likely always be targeted at the more recent browser first. We suggest that you always use the latest "stable" browser and keep the security patches/updates current. Windows,Mac, and Linux should work. With windows there should be no site-specific trouble as the majority of surfers are using Windows and therefore developers focus first on that user-base. Mac users should not have much trouble, though using the Safari browser may or may not work. If you're using Linux, then you'll have to configure your browser with the proper plugins, but if you're using Linux then I don't need to tell you how to do that. =) For the most updated information on supported software, always look at the help section of the specific Live Cam site, as these services are actually "rented" by us and provided to our members as a bonus.



Q: I use a Mac, is there anything special that I should know?

A: The official statement is neither CollegeBoys, Squirtz etc. fully support the Mac; Though we have many Mac members who are using the Live Cam sites regularly without trouble. As mentioned above, for the most updated information on supported software, always look at the help section of the specific Live Cam site.



 

Q: When viewing the additional "cam sites", some (or none) of the cams are working - What is wrong?

A: It's likely to be an issue with Java, either duplicate versions installed or even corruption in a single version. Clearing all Java and reinstalling has been proven to work in multiple cases. Follow these steps exactly to fix it...

1. Access Window's program management area
Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Add Remove Programs

2. Delete all entries of Java from the Add/Remove window
3. Restart the computer
4. Download a new Java from Sun
